Deep Town: How to defeat Elders

How to defeat Elders

There are 10 zones in the game and each zone has one elder at the end. The next zone will only start after you defeat the elder.
Elders are not easy to defat as they self heal themselves. You will have to inflict higher damage than the healing capacity of the elder. Your damage rate increase as you level up. So if you are finding it difficult to defeat the elder then it is advised that you level up because the Elder can heal faster than you can damage it.

Remember following tips to defeat the elders comfortably:

  • Elders will damage anything near them. This means that using robots isn't effective.
  • Using the Ice Freeze spell will prevent the Elder from healing for a while and will slightly boost your damage output. So use the Ice Freeze spell when your damage spells are ready to be cast.
  • Using the Fire Blast spell WILL unfreeze the Elder. The inverse is also true; freezing will remove the burning damage. So don't use those two spells at the same time or in quick succession. They have a long cooldown anyway.
  • Don't forget to use the Nano Cloud spell. It doesn't work on normal blocks, but is very effective on Corrupted Blocks and Elders.
  • Using green fumes from nano clouds is probably the best way to help you defeat the elder.

Zone 1: Coal Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 39
  • Use Miracle Gas,Fire Blast,Nano Clouds and Laser Zap

Zone 2: Copper Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 84
  • Use clouds, Zap, blast, and freeze spell

Zone 3: Amber Elder (kinda unique)

  • Recommended level: Level 124
  • Depending on the version, you do or do not need the Tesla coil to defeat the elder.
  • Building the Tesla Coil is a long questline that starts from finding the HDD item in your cave discoveries, and building a computer to decrypt it. Later, you will find the blueprint for the Tesla Coil, allowing you to craft one, that will prevent the Amber Elder from healing and allow you to win.
  • As of version 5.0.9, Amber Elder takes no damage without a working Tesla Coil

Zone 4: Aluminium Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 140-160
  • Levels do not matter much. You can destroy it by building the small rocket.

Zone 5: Gold Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 199-219
  • Use green lazer, electric zap, nano clouds, and electric discharge.

Zone 6: Emerald Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 259
  • Use electric discharge, ice , nano clouds, and electric zap

Zone 7: Oil Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 289
  • The oil elder is weak to fire but it is immune to electric zap and nano clouds
  • Use fire blast, ice freeze, green laser, and electric discharge
  • Note: Fire blast WILL unfreeze the boss. And also the other way around, freezing will remove the burning damage. So don't use those two spells at the same time. They have a long cooldown anyway.
  • Consistent attack is needed
  • You can beat this boss in less than 2 minutes. You will need green laser, Ice freeze, electric discharge and fire spell. Apply constant attack with green lazer and electric discharge. Freeze the elder before it heals itself. Continue attack. After freeze runs out, use fire. Rinse and repeat.

Zone 8: Uranium Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 330
  • Use red laser, electric discharge or bombs, green laser, and ice freeze. If you can’t afford the red laser, make sure you have lots of green lasers and use them constantly in order to defeat the elder.

Zone 9: Obsidian Elder

  • Recommended level: Level 380
  • Use laser, bombs, laser, and ice.

Zone 10: Iron Elder

  • Recommended level: Level maximum
  • The Iron Elder is immune to any spell you use on him. so just relax. You can defeat him by doing nothing. Just focus on your quests
  • You can defeat the Iron Elder by finishing the first tier of Expansion 13 quest.

CAT Prep: Solid tips from 2016 CAT topper:

Common Admission Test (CAT) Prep

Solid tips from 2016 CAT topper:

1) Mock tests

Student generally focus on the content but this will only help them to get through 40-45 per cent of the preparation. The best way to prepare is by taking mock tests. This will give them an idea about the kind of questions they must attempt.

2) Revision

Students usually try to switch to a different book once they’re done with one. Sticking to the same book will help you a lot more as it gives you “depth”. Revising one material repeatedly will help you more than switching between three-four books.

3) Don’t panic

Understand that CAT is a simple paper. There is no need to panic because you are in control of those three hours. Just give your best attempt and stay calm.

I completely endorse the last point. CAT is a SIMPLE paper.
Practice and confidence in yourself will take you closer to realizing your dreams.

Day care, Play school, Pre school - Where should your kid start school?

Bangalore is a peculiar city. No wonder the President of USA keeps the name of the city in his speeches. The Silicon Valley of India and the Information Technology (IT) capital of the world has its own share of characteristics. One of them is kids going to school very early.

Not the kind of school the kids born before the turn of the century went to.

The Bangalore kids go to institutions called by many names - day care, play school, pre-school, child care, learning centers etc.

In Bangalore there are two categories of schools for kids.

The kinds of schools:
  1. Schools exclusive for kids: These schools are focused exclusively on children in age group 1-5 years. They do not have higher classes and as such not are affiliated to secondary education boards like ICSE, CBSE and state boards. They strive to give more attention to kids and their learning. They also prepare the kids well to get into full service schools. Example - Kidzee, EUROKIDS etc.
  2. Normal fulls service schools: These school may have there own section of school for kids but focus more on higher classes. Kids in their own pre-school section may get preference while taking admission in higher classes.

The above views are based upon my conversation with few parents who have had experiences of sending their kids to the above categories of schools.
